Our trail notes
Things worth remembering before we leave.
A shared collection of practical reminders that can make the next trip safer, calmer and more fun. This is general guidance—not professional medical, safety or mountaineering advice.
Essential packing
Build a route- and season-specific checklist. Confirm layers, footwear, water, food, shelter, lighting, personal medication and shared equipment before departure.
Group safety
Share the route and return plan, set regroup points, check in with one another, and agree how the group will respond if plans or conditions change.
Budget planning
List transport, accommodation, food, guide costs, permits, rentals and a sensible contingency. Keep personal payment details out of visitor-facing pages.
Responsible trekking and waste
Carry waste out, follow local guidance, minimise single-use items, stay on established routes where required and respect communities, wildlife and water sources.
Altitude awareness
Plan conservative ascent and rest. Learn the warning signs relevant to the route and seek qualified medical or guiding advice for altitude decisions.
After-the-trek documentation
Collect consented photographs, verify names and dates, record the day-by-day story, reconcile private expenses, save useful contacts securely and link the full album.
